One of our favorite artists, Paul Gorman, has teamed up with fellow Philly photographer, Andrew Piccone, to bring us this wholly inspired zine of keystone state localisms and universal truths. Paul has a way with words, bringing gritty realities of lower middle class life into text form in the most casual and straight-forward way without gloss or exploitation. Andrew has been shooting photos with a similar mundane beauty for years. Recently, he has been adding layers of found text and icons over the photos to exciting results. This new zine features a mix of materials from both artists, with each person alternating poetry and photography into a masterful blend. A must grab!

Here's what they had to say about the new zine:

"What is the work about? It's about the unknowns, the long walks home, meandering drives with or without gps, wandering and wondering. It's about the Roxborough Acme, the Exton Acme, the Bond shopping center Acme, 69th Street Terminal, the Blue Route, 76, Nick Sirriani's increasing thousand yard stare, East Falls, Mount Airy, Upper Darby, Drexel Hill, Millbourne (littlest borough that could!), Belmont Hills, the Montgomery Mall, the "city" and 3 of the 4 counties, jobs, bosses, kids, partners, parents, friends and family, recovery, loss, grief, harm reduction out of the trunk of your car, unlicensed drivers, petty crimes of your own choosing, Guy Fieri, those damn Morgan & Morgan shitbirds, Mayor Nutter, Jeff Brown, Patti LaBelle, Barack Obama requisite cheesesteaking at Pat's, new construction apartments on top of Chubby's steaks where the rooftop view looks out upon Henry Avenue as the grease gently wafts up to you, Stenton Ave, City Ave, Ridge Ave, Port Royal Ave, Township Line Ave, Island Ave, Lincoln Drive demolition derby, Darby Creek dips, Fine Wine and Good Spirits, birth, life, death and all of the everything that comes in between."
