SUPER FUN VOL.2 - SLIDE 87

Does it feel like graffiti zines are getting too slick and glossy? All of them being made by the same printers, using similar templates, just replace the names and locations. Well, Super Fun feels like the name suggests. It's made by some round-the-way writers from Michigan (not too far from Detroit and Chicago), who are still in the early stages of their graffiti love affair. Their skills are so-so, but their passion is through the roof, and it is contagious. Grab a copy to remind yourself why you started in the first place.
There are quite a few pages of collaged together stickers from contemporary writers, a scene report from Memphis, TN (with a nice Mind Detergent piece in there). Some pages have creepy aliens and whip-it adverts, many more pages have scenes of mid-west desolation and decay. This zine is fun, despite the lack of high level graff. Maybe you will understand, maybe you won't.
