ONE WEEK IN BUCHAREST - NO FACE FORGET IT
NO FACE FORGET IT is a crazed analog photography buff with a taste for metro trains and urban decay. Back in 2019, he took a holiday from his native Central England to visit the Romanian capitol of Bucharest. He does a great job of capturing this city's strange mix of Art Nouveau construction and decaying Soviet infrastructure. There are flicks with overgrown lines of retired trains in the middle of fields, heavily tagged insides that look like NYC circa early 80s, and toyed up concrete building skeletons. There is plenty of graff in this zine, but it's focus seems to be on the otherworldly drabness and grey skies of this Eastern European city.
The zine is slick as duck shit; great printing, great photos, and a simple layout. One Week in Bucharest is a special glimpse into a part of Europe that looks way different than the typical Western pop spots that fill a majority of graff mags. Check it out.
