MOSTLY PHOTOCOPIED FILM PHOTOS AND SOME DRAWINGS - TIM HUCK
Mostly Photocopied Film Photos and Some Drawings is as meandering, personal, and esoteric as the title suggests and reads as a portion of his journal made public. The main format follows snapshot casual images with short sentence descriptions detailing the simple facts of who, what, when, & where. Tim Huck's photos follow ruggedly beautiful people playing in nature, in the act of getting/giving tattoos, and lurking freight trains. Mix in some traditional style tattoo influenced drawings that pepper the pages, and we have an intimate view of a particular lifestyle.
On the back cover, Tim notes that this zine was assembled during the COVID-19 outbreak. When looking back on his pictures of international travel, tattoo conventions, and carefree hanging out, one can't help but think of the major effect that this time has had on these activities. We hope that this is not a remembrance of times past, never to have again, and is instead a reminder of the freedoms that make us who we are.
