THE CERRAJEROS OF BARCELONA (ES) - ADAM VOID

Here's the second minizine from Adam Void (followup to "Petroglyphs") which takes a closer look at lesser-known public mark making that shares traits with contemporary graffiti, but does not quite fit the bill. CERRAJEROS is a must-have for obscure graffiti researchers and collectors of documentation from the fringes of the streets.
In "The Cerrajeros of Barcelona (ES)", Adam Void focuses on a unique subset of sticker culture living at the bottom of rolldown gates in the cities of Spain. Rollgate repairmen advertise their services by putting out hundreds of thousands of colorful paper labels across the city, aggressively covering the stickers of the competition, overcharging their clients for late-night repairs, and getting up to general lawless hi-jinks along the way. The zine includes a small essay describing the application of the stickers and comparing them to the locksmith stickers of NYC. Its strange, its beautiful, and its the only known zine documenting this culture.
