BOXCAR ART FOREVER #16 - BOB THE BENCHER

We're very thankful that Bob the Bencher has brought back his moniker culture exclusive zine, featuring a true report of what's riding on the rails today. Boxcar Art Forever zooms in on the small simple drawings on the margins of the mammoth metal giants that roam the American countryside. There is also a healthy dose of company markings (stencils, logos, etc.) and scenic shots of freight trains in motion. Black Butte Center for RR Culture has a whole collection of these underground booklets. It's the real deal, yo.
Issue #16 stands strong with high contrast black and white reproductions of monikers, monikers, and more monikers. There is a nice two-page feature on Tex Goth's bat drawing, interviews with the Vacume, and the Message In A Bottle. Here is where the small town comic book illustrator dreamer gets free with an oil pen and miles of track. They are speaking to each other, to you, to the void. Listen to their call.
